Abstract: This checklist is being developed to provide information on the flora of District Mohamand, an area previously known as Mohmand Agency. It lies on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. Mohmand was first delineated from other Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) by Pakistan's government in 1951. It has an area of 2296 km2, and is adjacent to District Bajaur on the north (snowcapped mountains of Bajaur can be seen from Mohmand), Afghanistan on the west, and Districts Charsadda and Peshawar on the East. The Kabul River forms its southern border. The name of the district is the name of the tribe that lives there but many families of the tribe now live elsewhere, particularly in adjacent areas of Districts Charsadda and Peshawar. The lowest elevation in the district is about 300 m. When first made public, the checklist
