Locality: Somaliland
Abstract: One of the goals of AGRI223, a course in Plant Taxonomy taught at the University of Hargeisa, is to enable students to identify to family the members of Somaliland's 20 most speciose families. This ability will enable them to identify the species involve using keys adapted from the Flora of Somalia and posted on line in KeyBase. The taxon listing was derived from the Flora of Somalia with some changes to reflect new discoveries and changing taxonomic opinion.
