Locality: South Sudan: Upper Nile Region
Abstract: Darbyshire et al. (2015) provided valuable information about the distribution of plants found in Sudan and South Sudan. Making the distributional information in their publication available on line via OpenHerbarium enables integration of the names with images and descriptions from other sources and will facilitate incorporation of databased herbarium records, making the lists easy to update. Because the checklist of South Sudan is the "parent" of the checklists for the 3 regions recognized by Darbyshire et al., the names of species added to this list will, if not previously recorded for either of South Sudan's other regions regions. will automatically be added to the South Sudan checklist.
