Locality: Sudan: Kordofan region
Abstract: Darbyshire et al. (2015) provided valuable information about the distribution of plants found in Sudan and South Sudan. Making the information in their publication, available on line via OpenHerbarium enables presenting checklists for each of the regions they recognize and integration of the names in each checklist with images and descriptions from other sources. It will also facilitate incorporation of databased herbarium records, making the lists easy to update. Because the checklist of Sudan is the "parent" of the checklists for the 6 regions recognized by Darbyshire et al., the names of species added to this regional list will, if not previously recorded for any of Sudan's regions. automatically be added to the Sudan checklist.
